Interviews by invitation: November through January

Applicants: US medical school graduate in good standing and USMLE scores, and must be eligible for temporary licensing in the State of Missouri.

  • PGY I (Intern)

    Barnes-Jewish Hospital
    Orientation – 10 days
    Emergency Medicine – 4 months
    Internal Medicine – 1 month
    Cardiothoracic ICU – 1 month
    Surgery – 1 month
    Newborn Nursery– 1/2 month
    ED Ultrasound – 1 month
    Adult Anes – 1/2 month

    Maricopa Med Center (Phoenix)
    Obstetrics - 2 weeks

    St. Louis Children's Hospital
    Pediatrics – 1 month
    Pediatric EM – 1 month
    Pediatric Anesthesia – 1/2 month

    Vacation – 3 weeks
    Reading Period – 1 week
    Unpaid leave (10 days end of year)

  • PGY II

    Barnes-Jewish Hospital
    Emergency Medicine – 6 months
    Emerg Med Research – 1 month
    ED Orthopedic - 1 month
    Neurologic ICU – 1 month
    Surgical ICU – 1 month

    St. Louis Children's Hospital
    Pediatric ICU – 1 month
    Pediatric EM – 1 month (integrated over 7 months)

    Vacation – 3 weeks
    Reading Period – 1 week

  • PGY III

    Emergency Medicine – 6 months
    Emerg Med Services – 1 month
    NICU - 1 month*
    ED Procedures - 1/2 month (ENT, eye, US, sedation)
    Clinical Toxicology – 1 month
