The WUSM Emergency Medicine Residency Training Program provides trainees the knowledge and clinical skills to become outstanding physicians. This dynamic program benefits from nationally recognized educators, state of the art facilities and a diverse patient population. The use of simulation, strong research training and innovative curriculum ensure a world class education.

Emergency Medicine is an exciting specialty. It is also at times intense and demanding. Teamwork is paramount in the high-energy environment of the ED. Residents leave tired after a busy shift but also satisfied knowing they have made a difference.

It is difficult to convey our passion for medicine, respect for colleagues, and enthusiasm for teaching of such a broad specialty.
