S. Eliza Halcomb, MD is the Section Chief and Fellowship Director of the Toxicology Program. She is currently interested in the role of the Katp channel in the maintenance or vascular tone and is involved in both bench and clinical research projects involving the cardiovascular system. She has also lectured at national and international academic meetings and is actively involved with the education committee for ACMT.
Evan S Schwarz, MD is the Assistant Director for the Toxicology Fellowship Program. He recently finished his fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. He has presented posters at multiple meetings, lectured to multiple organizations, is actively involved in the American College of Medical Toxicology, and is interested in starting an outpatient toxicology clinic.
William H. Dribben, MD is a nationally recognized bench researcher with an NIH grant that
involves the function of magnesium at the NMDA receptor. He has also
lectured nationally and has several recent publications regarding his
research.
Michael
Eugene Mullins, MD, FACEP is the Research Director for the Division of Emergency Medicine and is a Reviews Editor for Clinical Toxicology. He is an author or co-author of over 30 peer-reviewed publications in toxicology and emergency medicine. He has presented both research and didactic lectures in both the national and international setting. He was recently named as Fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology.
Anna Arroyo, MD is one of our most recent additions to the faculty. Anna finished her fellowship at Methodist Hospital in Indiana and has been singled out by the residents as one of the best teachers on the rotation. Anna currently works in the Department of Internal Medicine as a hospitalist, and as such has been instrumental in increasing the toxicology presence in the institution.
Dr. Tom Kibby has joined the faculty to provide his expertise in Occupational
Medicine. He has been the medical advisor for a multitude of large
chemical companies in the area and he will be focused on the
occupational aspects of medical toxicology.
