Critical Care Medicine | Fellowship
Critical Care Medicine (ABA/ABEM and ABIM/ABEM tracts)
EM/CCM is one of the newest and fastest growing Fellowships (in conjunction with the boards of Internal Medicine and Anesthesiology) accessible to Emergency Medicine trained residents. Washington University in St. Louis has created a broad, multidisciplinary, comprehensive critical care medicine curriculum to produce well-rounded Intensivists, capable of treating the critically ill and injured patient with any variety of pathophysiology. Our EM/CCM curriculum is standard for both Fellowship tracts, with our Fellows being placed in ACGME approved Anesthesia Critical Care Medicine (ACCM) or Internal Medicine/Critical Care Medicine (IM/CCM) ACGME approved training slots. The Divisions of Critical Care Medicine within the Departments of Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, and Surgery all support this multidisciplinary fellowship training curriculum.
Critical Care Medicine is a rapidly growing subspecialty now open to graduates of Emergency Medicine Residency programs. Our EM/CCM multidisciplinary fellowship curriculum offers a comprehensive critical care medicine experience with the goal of training future leaders in the discipline of Critical Care Medicine (in conjunction with the Departments of Anesthesiology and Internal Medicine). Please explore our website and its resources; obviously we are biased, but we feel as if we have the best multidisciplinary Critical Care Medicine training program in the country. If you have any questions or comments, I encourage you to contact me.
