Carpenter To Lead EM Abstracts

Christopher R. Carpenter, MD, Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Washington University has been named one of six practicing Emergency Medicine physicians to helm EM Abstracts.

EM Abstracts, founded in 1977, was developed and run by Rick Bukata and Jerry Hoffman. As journals moved online it became an online repository of 30 to 40 pre-filtered and critiqued EM-relevant articles each month. It includes audio commentary by Rick and Jerry debating the merits (or lack thereof) for each article and is a historical record of the birth and growth of emergency medicine.

“With thousands of EMA subscribers worldwide and numerous EM Essentials courses, this is also an unprecedented opportunity to highlight on an international stage the Washington University EM Journal Club and brand new Wash U Division of EM Emergency Care Research Core that is being funded by the Barnes Jewish Hospital Foundation, not to mention Wash U Everyday EBM.” Carpenter said.
